Evolution of the TD100 UAS and Its Payloads
Brian Eggleston, Chief Technology Officer, Brican Flight Systems. A career spent in aircraft design and development since graduating from Bristol and Cranfield (UK) in aeronautical engineering. Led the advanced design team at De Havilland Canada during the project development of the Dash 7 up to and Dash 8 Srs 400 and led the R&D in aerodynamics and structures. Retired as Director of Strategic Technologies with Bombardier. Since then became involved in the recertification of the Found Bush Hawk followed now by small UAVs with the Brican TD100.

The presentation will briefly review the TD100 design concept and its development history. The types of payloads and missions accomplished to date will be described including wildlife research, FLIR for forest fire detection, imaging for UXO and georeferencing using an Applanix system. Current work will be covered using magnetometers for ASW and resource exploration. Ongoing activities to meet Transport Canada's Best Practices standards will be described.
