The Survey-grade RTK Mapping UAV 

The wide spread commercial advent of UAVs has brought a new outlook for aerial surveys in areas historically served with large airborne operations.  This presentation will demonstrate how the senseFly eBee RTK can provide survey grade results and very high resolution imagery to produce a wide array of products.  The eBee, the lightest on the market in its category with a weight of less than 2kg, is now equipped with an upgraded GNSS systems that can achieve 3cm absolute accuracy.  A detailed accuracy assessment will be discussed and examples will be presented from various industries including mining development and exploration, geotechnical investigations, and environmental site assessments.

Jean-François Dionne is an accomplished GIS/Geomatics specialist. He has a broad-based technical expertise in all areas of spatial technologies with over 20 years of experience. He has worked in various areas of the geospatial sciences, giving him a global perspective on the recent evolution and future direction of geomatics. Over the last 5 years, he has developed expertise using UAVs for various surveying and environmental driven applications.  He is presently a technical specialist for an industry leader UAV company for Eastern Canada.
